Transcentral Medication  Consumer Event Horizon   Anthropocene

Replica Industrial Revolution era (Circa 1760CE) vitrines encrusted with eyes, house 1960's portable televisions augmented in sand patterns.
The Age of Staring has been diligently stamped with advertisements to boost our consumptive drive.
Television sets became portable giving propagandists access throughout the post-industrial human habitat.
Collectively we focus on immoderate commodification and feed a grand societal inertia.
Nature is literally traded for fantasy while remedies live discretely, unnoticed within interference patterns.

An answer to our climate paradigm is in Deep Image’s test-pattern.
The design is based on Huhu (Prionoplus reticularis) grub movements.
Burrowing through wood as if in a labyrinth, Huhu deliberately leaves intact partitions as framework.
This allows for their metamorphosis in a space protected by a 'residual' structure.
By contrast, our capitalist tendencies compromise our surroundings and we almost literally 'eat the walls' leaving us no protective structure.
We leave ourselves without a template for future development.
Currently more value is placed on fictional economies than on the environment, an environment that for millennia we have considered as living guardian, a benevolent yet demanding host, an entity that holds us in their very real embrace.
Reciprocity, a shared pathway is detailed within nature's organic designs.
Effective and life sustaining resource management can be guided by observing the natural world.

Murphy's interference pattern is a depiction of inhalation/exhalation with lungs represented in undulating chains of foliage.
Plants provide oxygen and have respiratory cycles.
In some places ‘forest bathing’ is a prescribed therapy.

When we watch for the rise and fall of breath we relax.
A traditional pathway to wellness is to be in a forest and breathe together along with the trees.
Murphy's sand design seems to animate and become a dilation/contraction sequence parallelled with our physiology.
Watching television in this case becomes inertia converted to relaxation.
Anthropocene
*the current geological age, viewed as the period during which human activity has been the dominant influence on climate and environment.
nb "some geologists argue that the Anthropocene began with the Industrial Revolution"

Event horizon
ºa point of no return.
"When the last tree is cut down, the last fish eaten and the last stream poisoned, you will realize that you cannot eat money."
